about

This collection of electroacoustic works took me a year on and off to complete, a mixture of pieces that "accidentally" just happened and others that were constructed, tweaked and developed over hours and hours of reconstruction and reprocessing. In this few sounds are as they seem and many like the insect noises of Southern Australia are totally unrecognisable. Dedicated to Karlheinz Stockhausen, Jean-Claude Eloy and Roland Kayn - 3 masters of the electroacoustic avant-garde.

All sounds sourced from acoustic elements: wind chimes, bells, springs, cymbals, gongs, birdsong, voice, etc., turned electronic via processing with Sonic Foundry and plug-ins.
Constructed by Alan Freeman July 2015 to July 2016 at Tachyon Studio, Leicester.
Cover by Alan Freeman (using waveform scans of 2 pieces from this album).
